A worthy upgrade over other Kindles!
Mediahound,
Why I Bought My First E-Reader, and Why It Was a Kindle Touch
Sherry “Mom to two boys”,
I’ve owned every Kindle ever made and I can tell you that the Kindle Touch is the best Kindle by far. I never thought they would get it under $100 but here it is…
Pros:
- Although the touch screen is not up to tablet standards it feels great, it’s responsive and soft.It allows for the pinch and zoom feature. I can simply press down on a word and the New Oxford American Dictionary and Wikipedia options pop up. This is a thing of beauty when reading older classics.
- It’s so lightweight and portable
- Reading clarity is excellent
- The collections feature is wonderful
- Eight different font sizes are offered up.
Cons:
- The weight is almost 2 ounces heavier but not enough to really complain about or prevent one handed reading.
- The overall dimensions of the Kindle Touch are slightly bigger (less than an inch) than the Kindle 4 even though the screen size remains the same at 6 inches.
